Our community memberships are for dancers on a tight budget. Dancing can be an expensive hobby! The goal of our community membership is to make dancing more accessible by providing Classes for everyone at budget-friendly rates.   • Our only requirement is that people booking the community membership are at least 18 years old.

  • A community membership only covers 1 person. If you’re a part of a couple, you will need to purchase 2 memberships, or you may want to consider our apprentice membership which does cover 2 people and offers discounts on all studio offerings.

  • The membership is a minimum four month commitment from the date of purchase. Members are automatically moved to a month-to-month membership after the first four months until they cancel.

  • Anyone is welcome to take private lessons with us! Because we have created this membership level for those with budget constraints, we have not included private lesson discounts. You are welcome to purchase private lessons at the regular studio rates, or upgrade your membership to an apprentice membership which includes 25% off for private lessons and 35% off for group classes, including classes for couples.

  • While we are a BYOB friendly studio, we will verify your age before you’re allowed to consume alcohol on premises.

  • We require 2 weeks notice to cancel your membership. Memberships can be cancelled by emailing info@ballroomdancechicago.com, or by cancelling through your Momence account (our scheduling platform). Once cancelled, you will retain the membership until the expiration of your month.

  • We do not offer refunds on memberships, with the exception of newly-purchased memberships.

    If a membership is cancelled within 48 hours after purchase, we offer a full refund (minus a $50 service fee). Otherwise, we do not offer refunds on memberships.
