Chicago Viennese Ball 2027:
A Night of Formal Dancing, Music, & Tradition
Each January, Chicago ballroom dancers gather for the most refined event of the season: the Viennese Ball at Ballroom Dance Chicago. More than just a beautiful night out, this ball was created as an educational experience—designed to introduce dancers to the traditions, etiquette, and movement of Vienna’s legendary winter ball season.
Originally founded to prepare our clients for dancing in Vienna, the event serves as both a formal rehearsal and an immersive group class. Guests learn and practice key social dances—especially the Viennese waltz—in a setting that captures the grandeur and structure of an authentic Viennese ball.
Whether you’re an experienced dancer, dreaming of waltzing in Vienna, or simply seeking a magical winter evening in Chicago, this ball offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to step into a world of tradition, refinement, and movement.
This event will offer two options to enjoy the festivities; standing tickets that include a place to set your belongings, and seated tickets that include a table with a view of the dance floor!
