Intro Lesson

Membership FAQ

  • The standard studio membership has a 4 month commitment.

    Membership+ Plan commitments range from 3-4 months depending on the plan.

  • We require 2 weeks notice to cancel your membership. Memberships can be cancelled by emailing info@ballroomdancechicago.com . Once cancelled, you will retain the membership until the expiration of your month.

  • We do not offer refunds on memberships, with the exception of newly purchased memberships.

    If a membership is cancelled within 48 hours after purchase, we offer a full refund (minus a $50 service fee). Otherwise, we do not offer refunds on memberships.

  • We do not allow memberships to be transferred between people.

  • We allow any membership to be put on a one month hold once a year for a $30 administrative fee. To put your membership on hold, please email info@ballroomdancechicago.com and supply the dates for which you’d like the membership paused.

  • You need an active membership to receive the discounted lessons rate. If you decide to cancel your membership and you still have lessons on your account, your remaining lessons will be converted to a dollar value of studio credit based on what you used.

    EX: You bought a 20 pack of private lessons but only used 2. You will pay the single lesson rate for those 2 lessons rather than the 20 lesson rate. The remainder of money will be added as a studio credit to your account.

    For some people, it may make more sense to keep one more month of membership and utilize the benefits and remaining lessons or classes.
