More than being “the best,” ballroom competitions and performances are often about proving something to yourself.

At Ballroom Dance Chicago, we believe too many dancers never try performances or competitions because 1) the environment is intimidating and 2) they think they need to be “ready” first.

That’s why we structure our competitions and performance opportunities around what many dancers are actually looking for: a welcoming, supportive place to challenge themselves, grow, and try something new.

Whether you’re completely new to the idea of ballroom competition or already have experience on the floor, our events are designed to feel approachable and encouraging.
