Wedding Dance Lessons

Most couples come to us feeling awkward, nervous, or convinced they have two left feet. By the time we’re done? They’re dancing comfortably, and more importantly, having fun.

This isn’t about complex or intricate first dances (unless you want one!) This is about feeling comfortable together, looking natural, and giving your guests something they’ll remember.

Zero rhythm and Experience? No problem!

And just to prove it to you, every photo on our website are from real BDC couples who started where you are now… nervously browsing a website.

You could prom sway through your first dance...

But you’re capable & deserving of more than a side-to-side shuffle.

First Dance Consultations

We are not a one dance fits all studio. Our main objective is personalization. During your wedding consultation, we’ll get to know you and your goals for your first dance.

For some of the consultation we’ll sit and chat about some wedding details, what makes you nervous, what you want to achieve and what you want to avoid.

The rest is all about dancing! You’ll get a good sense for what it’s like to learn to dance together and we’ll also be able to assess your abilities and learning styles so we can give you a personalized recommendation for what you’ll need.

💡 Insider Insight:

Booking your consultation at least 6 months out is something you will be forever grateful for. The last 8-10 weeks before your wedding are full of tastings, fittings, showers, bachelor(ette) parties, and probably being a guest at another wedding or two.

Coming in early means you leave enough time to make unrushed decisions and create clear and intentional moments of connection during a very important part of your life.

No phones. No interruptions. No couch time. Just you two, having fun, learning something new together!

While we can all appreciate a 6-minute-wedding-sway for its lack of imagination (if you’ve never witnessed one it’s pretty painful!), know your guests are hoping to see something a bit more interesting.

Private Lessons are the only way you can receive fully tailored instruction based on your song and your specific first dance goals. Every couple is different and we personalize your dance to be something that lights you up.

💡 Insider Insight:

Stiff, awkward first dances usually happen when couples skip the basics and foundations of dancing together and jump straight into choreography. Couples classes are a part of our wedding plans because they are both budget-friendly and low pressure ways to give you the repetition and essential dance skills you need to make everything feel more natural.

Private lessons are where your personalization happens. Your unique style, song, and comfort level come together to shape a first dance that actually satisfies your goals - even if your goals are simple.
