Something else to keep in mind is that private dance lessons can be scheduled at the convenience of the recipient, whereas group classes and BYOB dance parties are on specific days and times.

While we wish that we could extend the gift of dance lessons from now until forever, we give the recipient 1 year from the purchase date to redeem the certificate.

It’s a good idea for your gift-ee to schedule the dance lessons soon after receiving the gift, even if they schedule a lesson months in advance.

Absolutely! We offer gift certificates for private lessons, group dance classes and our BYOB dance parties. We have so many options because everyone approaches learning to dance from a different angle.

While private lessons are without a doubt the best way to learn to dance, learning for some people is secondary to socializing, in which case we’d recommend group classes (with some private lessons peppered in the mix). And if learning to dance is the last thing on someone’s mind – meaning you just want to dance and groove – we’d recommend the BYOB dance parties.

Well, that depends:

• Our private lesson gift certificates are redeemable for up to two people each lesson. Essentially, when you purchase a private lesson, you are requesting the time of one instructor who will work with either an individual or a couple. The recipient can choose to come alone or with a partner.

• Group class gift certificates can be purchased for couples only. We require everyone in group classes to attend with a partner.

Once your friend or loved one receives your gift, they can call us right away to schedule lessons.

Private lessons can be scheduled at our home studio on Ravenswood (cannot be redeemed at satellite locations) during our regular teaching hours. If you gifted group classes, they can request our schedule, and we’ll get them signed up (note: these, too, can only be scheduled at our home location on Ravenswood).

All they have to do is call us or email us and we’ll take care of the rest. It’s as easy as that!
