Best Restaurants in Lakeview

Dinner and dancing - it’s a perfect date night! We have the dancing covered. Check out our recommendations for places to dine before or after you lesson!

Rojo Gusano - Tacos Bourbon Tequila Cocktails Mexican Restaurant Bar

4721 N Ravenswood Ave

This is the perfect spot to grab a bite to eat before or after a lesson. Known for their tacos, we recommend going for the pork belly, hongos, and the baja fish. There is an excellent cocktail menu with the classics (margarita, obviously) and some twists, like their oaxaca mule. Go during the spring and summer and you can enjoy the night on their patio. With live music being played almost every night, you’ll definitely be in the mood to dance.

Bayan Ko

1810 W Montrose Ave

This restaurant should definitely be on your list to try. Serving Cuban and Filipino food to reflect the owner’s heritage, you’re in for some excellent eats. We’re big fans of the croqueta tots and pancit canton noodles, and we have yet to come across anything we don’t like. So enjoy the patio in the summer, the food, and any BYO - which you can also enjoy at our studio!

Spacca Napoli

1769 W Sunnyside Ave

You’ve gotta check this place out! With some of the best Neapolitan pizza outside of Italy, it won’t disappoint. Inside you’ll find the wood-burning oven turning out perfectly chewy and bubbly pizzas. However, if it’s warm, there’s nothing better than eating on the patio enjoying a bottle of Furore Bianco. Try the Diavola or Pistacchio pizza and you’re sure to have the perfect date night.

Indian Clay Pot

1804 W Irving Park Rd

This casual spot serves up some delicious Indian fare. Enjoy veg and non-veg favorites cooked in traditional clay pots in their dining room, on their patio or carryout. We’re fond of ordering malai kofta or navratan korma. And no meal is complete without vegetable samosas! Try them out before or after your lesson - you’ll be happy you did!

Ella Elli

1349 W Cornelia Ave

Ella Elli has a wonderful mix of vegetable and seafood dishes that are perfect for a relaxed dining experience with an elegant touch. The Mediterranean inspired plates are perfect for meeting up after work or after your dance date! The crispy brussels sprouts and scallops are amazing to pair with their impressive wine, beer, & cocktail menu.

Tied House

3157 N Southport Ave

Located right next to Schubas, this sleek restaurant feels like it’s a world away. Enjoy indoor and outdoor dining as a pre- or post- ballroom dance dinner. We’re partial to the butternut squash and strozzapreti, but grabbing a drink at the bar is just as enticing. You’re in the neighborhood, so stop in and enjoy the evening!

Goosefoot

2656 W Lawrence Ave

There is no better fine dining to be found on the northside than at Goosefoot. Their seasonal multi-course tasting menu changes everyday, so we recommend an open mind and empty stomach. The chefs blend French techniques with a modern take on food sourced from local farms. We are sure you won't regret this dinner.

The Bad Apple

4300 N Lincoln Ave

This is the perfect casual spot for grabbing a burger and beer after a dance lesson. They have all of your cravings covered from the classic lettuce, tomato, and onion burger to the Inigo Montoya (topped with parma ham, brie, and green onion). With their extensive beer menu, you’re sure to find the perfect accompaniment.

Gather

4539 N Lincoln Ave

Meet up with your family friends after dancing at Gather in Lincoln Square. Their shareable plates are the standouts on the menu - the Whipped Ricotta and Uovo En Raviolo are personal favorites. End the evening on a high note with Apple Fritters served with vanilla ice cream and you’ll be dancing your way home!
