Harvest Ball: A Celebration of Dance, Community & Autumn Abundance
Step into the season with elegance and connection at the Harvest Ball, the official kickoff to Chicago’s ballroom dance season. This evening brings together dancers, friends, and newcomers alike to celebrate the richness of fall through music, movement, and shared traditions.
Inspired by harvest festivals from around the world, this ball is about more than dancing—it's about gathering. As we move into the cooler months, we honor the season’s abundance not just with food and wine, but with community and joy.
Evening Highlights
🍂 Foxtrot Class
Begin the night with a graceful foxtrot lesson led by experienced instructors. You’ll learn how to move with ease and confidence across the floor—perfect for both beginners and seasoned dancers.
💃 Open Social Dancing
Enjoy a full evening of dancing to a rich mix of ballroom, Latin, and swing music. Dance with old friends, meet new ones, or simply enjoy the beauty of the evening from the sidelines.
🎭 Fledermaus Quadrille (Part 1) Class
Dive into the theatrical fun of this Viennese group dance. In this session, you'll learn the first part of the famous Fledermaus Quadrille—a lighthearted, high-energy tradition that brings laughter and camaraderie to the ballroom.
🧀 Wine & Cheese Sharing Table
Our signature tradition: each guest (or couple) brings a bottle of wine and a favorite cheese (or two) to share. Think of it as a community tasting—informal, festive, and full of discoveries. We provide crackers, serving ware, and the setup—just bring something you love.
