Jill & Cameron's Chic, City Wedding

Jill & Cameron got married in Chicago at Hotel Monaco on July 8th, 2016.

Classy, chic, and refined, they danced to Sam Smith's acoustic version of "Latch."

"We were both a bit nervous the day before our wedding, but we practiced in front of a couple of friends the night before and managed to nail all of our steps. We felt pretty confident after that, and during our first dance as a married couple, we just had fun with it and the dance came naturally. Taking these classes ended up being the best thing we could do for our first dance, because it allowed us to enjoy the moment without worrying about dancing in front of a crowd. Afterward, we felt great about it -- many of our guests complimented us on the dance!"

What was your favorite part of taking dance lessons for the wedding?

"We got to spend a lot of time together learning our dance, and we had a lot of fun doing it. It was nice to have this time alone where we could slow down, as planning a wedding can make most days very hectic! Cathy and the rest of the team were always friendly, helpful, patient, and incredibly encouraging."

What insight or knowledge can you share with other couples who are taking dance lessons for their wedding?

"Sometimes it can be difficult to step outside of your comfort zone with dance, and learning all the steps can seem an insurmountable feat. We learned pretty quickly that practicing outside of class was just as important as what we learned in class, and once we started practicing, it made learning our choreography much easier."
