Ballroom Dance for Beginner Students (Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Swing)

These fun Latin and ballroom dance classes are suitable for people who are new to or have had some experience in social dance. Participants will learn and refine the basics and simple patterns. Lead and follow skills, musicality, posture and dance floor etiquette will also be discussed. Since we will rotate partners in class, both couples and single dancers are welcome. Dance shoes are encouraged but not required. The classes will be 55 minutes long.

Price: $18 for drop-ins or $100 for the 8-week session

These ballroom/Latin dance classes are designed for children with no ballroom dance experience. In a fun and supportive environment, students will learn the fundamentals of various styles of ballroom and Latin dances, such as Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Rumba, Salsa and Swing. Through learning steps, patterns, rhythm and partnering, students will gain body awareness and strength, understand musicality, build self-esteem, learn about teamwork and enjoy being expressive and creative through movement. Dance shoes are encouraged but not required.
