Whether you are learning by yourself or with someone else, in a private lesson, your teacher will give you personalized instruction and his or her full attention. Whether you are learning to dance for special occasions or for fun, your teacher will design the lessons based on your needs, dance experience, learning styles and tastes. We recommend taking lessons from both female and male teachers so that you hear different perspectives from both a leader and a follower. By learning and practicing steps and patterns with your teachers, you will gain the skills you need to become a successful social dancer. Private Group Lessons Private group lessons are good if you want to take dance lessons with your family and friends. In a small and private group setting, you will still get ample attention from your teacher and learn steps and patterns of dances you choose. Price: Individual lesson (60 minutes): $90 per hour (up to 2 people), additional charges apply for each additional person. Please contact us for specific details. Group Classes Click HERE for current group class information. Practice Dance Parties Practice dance parties are held regularly for existing and prospective students. They are designed to simulate real social dance settings. Beginning with a basic group class, you will then get a chance to practice steps and skills you learn in class with other students in a fun and relaxing setting. It is also a great way to meet new people and to spend an evening. Price: Donation Location Lessons are taught at Ballroom Dance Chicago’s studio at 4043 N. Ravenswood Ave., (near Irving Park), Suite 105, Chicago, IL 60613. Additional charges may apply to lessons at other locations. Parking Plentiful parking is available. The parking lot is restricted to industrial zone stickers between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.. If visiting the studio during these hours, park along Irving Park. Cancellation Policy All cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged in full. Refunds are for credit only. Payment Methods We accept cash and check.
